Crochet hook I/5.5mm (You can use a smaller hook if you want a smaller hat or smaller stitch)
1 skein Medium Worsted-Weight Yarn
Embroidery Needle
Stitch Marker
Pattern is created in a spiral so you don't have to ch at the end of each round. Make sure you place the stitch marker at the end of each round though so you don't lose count of the stitches.
Body of hat:

Round 2 : 2 dc in top of first dc from Round 1, continue with 2 dc in each st (20)
Round 3 : *2 dc in first st, 1 dc in next st*, repeat around (30)
Round 4 : *2 dc in first st, 1 dc in next 2 sts* repeat around (40)

1. Create a magic loop, then 16 dc in loop, pull tight and sl st in top of first dc
2. Ch 3, skip one st then sl st in next st. *Ch 3, sk 1, sl st in next* repeat until you have 8 ch 3 spaces and sl st to join.
4. In each ch 3 sp: *sl st, 5 dc, sl st* By the end you should have 8 petals, sl st to join.
With an embroidery needle, sew the flower onto the hat. Feel free to message me with any questions you have.
*This hat had too much slouch but you can fix it - or keep it- by adding or taking away rows in the body of the hat |
